I am Basmah Kamal, from Saudi Arabia and I am looking forward to expand my culture and broaden my skill levels via education and experience. I chose graphic design as a major for my future studies because it is what my talent and hobbies have always been about. My hobbies range from drawing to reading and to an extent designing with IT related tools and software. I have been doing this since childhood and have developed my skills throughout to this day. My experiences in the field have been: designing school uniforms, designing corporate logos, and has always received a positive feedback. Graphic design helps in animation and makes objects in your imagination come to reality. A manifesto that also caught my attention was: First things First by designer Ken Garland and the topic on how designers can help the society and have a very positive approach of helping the consumers can also relate to my ideology for helping the society by how much ever it is possible, the ability to execute a message through design and creativity in helping people whether it is by an educational or emotional approach. I also like to research and read which helps me understand my talent better and compare it to the levels I can achieve and to do better.
